Top lawyers have decried the growing acts of judicial impunity that risk plunging the country into chaos. Independence of various arms of government, and more so the judiciary is critical in the establishment of law and order in a country. The seemingly growing executive interference in the affairs of the judiciary was previously pointed out by the retired chief justice David Maraga in a series of public communique that showed growing disquiet on the vice.
